This Privacy Policy explains how Toukan Finance (ABN 92 590 405 453) ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, holds and discloses your personal information, including credit information, and how you can contact us about it. Daniel Toukan trades as Toukan Finance and is an Authorised Credit Representative (Credit Representative Number 577748) of Outsource Financial Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 384324).
We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and, where applicable, Part IIIA of the Privacy Act and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code in relation to credit information.
1. What information we collect
Depending on how you engage with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details, your name, phone number, email address, residential address, and date of birth.
- Enquiry details, information you provide through our website enquiry form, by phone, email, WhatsApp, or social media, including the type of finance you are seeking and details about your situation.
- Financial and credit information, if you proceed to a loan application: income, employment details, assets, liabilities, living expenses, credit history, credit reports from credit reporting bodies, and supporting documents (payslips, tax returns, bank statements, identification documents).
- Technical information, standard internet log data collected by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you wherever possible, through our website enquiry form, phone calls, emails, messages, and meetings. With your consent, we may also collect information from third parties such as credit reporting bodies, your employer or accountant, other lenders or brokers, and publicly available sources, where it is necessary to assess or arrange your finance.
Our website enquiry form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. Information you submit through the form is transmitted to us via Formspree's infrastructure (see section 6 on overseas disclosure).
3. Why we collect, use and hold your information
We collect, use and hold your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide you with information about our services;
- assess your financial situation, objectives and requirements so we can act in your best interests when recommending credit products;
- prepare, submit and manage loan applications with lenders on your behalf;
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth), anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws, and our obligations to our licensee, Outsource Financial Pty Ltd;
- maintain our records and manage our relationship with you, including following up after settlement; and
- with your consent, send you updates or information we believe may be relevant to you. You can opt out at any time.
If you do not provide the information we request, we may be unable to assist you with your finance needs.
4. Who we disclose it to
We may disclose your personal information to:
- lenders, lenders mortgage insurers, and other credit providers on our panel, for the purpose of assessing and arranging your finance;
- Outsource Financial Pty Ltd (our Australian Credit Licence holder) and our aggregator's software platforms, for compliance, supervision and loan-processing purposes;
- credit reporting bodies, where permitted by law and with your consent;
- service providers who support our business, such as form-handling (Formspree), email, document collection and storage, and IT providers;
- professional advisers such as valuers, conveyancers, solicitors or accountants involved in your transaction, where you ask us to or consent; and
- government bodies, regulators, or external dispute resolution schemes (such as AFCA) where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
5. Cookies, analytics and website data
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies, including third-party analytics services (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Google Analytics) and advertising tools (such as Meta Pixel), to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. This information is generally aggregated and does not identify you personally.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using this website.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia. In particular, our website form-handling provider (Formspree) and some analytics providers are based in, or use infrastructure located in, the United States and other countries. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Where information is no longer required and we are not legally obliged to retain it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

We will not charge you for making a request, though in limited cases a reasonable fee may apply for providing access.
